There are many attractions in the market town of Newbury, six miles South West of Red Hill View. In addition to Newbury Racecourse, there is the West Berkshire Museum, the Corn Exchange Theatre and nearby lie Donnington Castle, Highclere Castle and West Berkshire Brewery.

Red Hill View has grounds which total about 13 acres (5.26 hectares). The garden extends to about an acre and surrounds the house on all sides. Within the paddocks is a three bay machinery store with its own separate access off Briff Lane.
