Fairfax Properties recruits Land Acquisitions Manager

Leading luxury country house property developer Fairfax Properties (the “Company”) operating in West Berkshire, Hampshire and South Oxfordshire has recruited Nigel Browner as Land Acquisitions Manager. Fairfax Properties has appointed Nigel to acquire premium sites to build new luxury homes following a successful 2009 when the Company completed some £9m of sales.

Nigel spent the last 12 years acquiring prestigious development sites in premium locations for Octagon Developments. Prior to this, Nigel was responsible for acquiring development sites for Berkeley Homes from 1994 to 1997.

John McLean, CEO of Fairfax Properties commented: “Nigel’s previous experience with Octagon Developments and his track record in acquiring prestigious development sites will be instrumental in assisting Fairfax to capitalise on what was a very successful 2009 for the Company. We are seeing increasing demand for classical new luxury homes in beautiful surroundings and with that in mind, we remain committed to maintaining our excellent track record in protecting the local wildlife and rural landscape.”

Commenting on his appointment, Nigel said: “I am excited to be joining Fairfax as it is looking to aggressively acquire sites in 2010 and beyond. Nigel’s appointment is effective immediately and he will be seeking to acquire at least four development sites in prime locations this year.
